People who leave their boat unattended for long periods of time would benefit from the thicker, more rugged covers. Boaters who tend to their boats more frequently may find that a thinner version is more convenient.
It is very important to remember that the boat cover you choose should be totally waterproof. There are many hi-tech materials available today which will allow for any moisture accumulation to evaporate more easily and more quickly. Some covers are also very strong when it comes to protection from the harm of ultraviolet rays which can be equally as damaging as moisture.
Before you make your decision on selecting a boat cover, place a value judgment on cost vs. the quality of protection. Take into account the elements your boat will be exposed to and then choose the cover that best fills your needs at the best price.
